Hello Fellow Truth Students,
“Let It Show, Let It Show, Let It Show”
“Let it show!” That is not a misprint, although it is inspired by our recent weather.
When I say to “let it show” I mean to let your light show. Let who you really are show. We have been instructed that we ought not hide our light under a bushel, but to let the light of God shine forth. Matthew 5 14-16 reads: [14] “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. [15] Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Lesson 42 from A Course in Miracles reads, “God is my strength. Vision is his gift.” The light you and I are shining is who we actually are. We are shining our strength. The acceptance of this reality is our correct vision.
For many years it seemed as if no one ever noticed me when I walked down the street. I’ve come to understand that I wasn’t seen by others because I wasn’t willing to see myself. When I began to look in the mirror and see light I began to notice that others were looking at me wherever I went. I’m not so vain as to think I had become more physically attractive to the world. Suddenly, I realized that it was my light that made me noticeable. It was my light that made people want to be around me. It was also my light that made certain others shy away from me. When I’m willing to let my light shine to myself I begin to see the light in everybody else. Seeing someone’s light can make you irresistible to them.
If you want to see how attractive you are, start by letting your light show to you and then to the world. Affirm now, “I am a radiant light of God and I am willing to see the light by way of God’s vision in me!” Let it show, let it show, let it show.
Excuse me, but your light is showing,
Shawn
